Fans and workers of the Southern Wrestling Alliance, I have spoken with Referee Morgan Dollar about the altercations of Saturday night in Pfafftown. Below is the conversation held with Morgan shortly after he was discharged from the Baptist hospital in Winston-Salem, NC on Sunday September 5th.

Travis Gaines: First Morgan my main concern along with the fans and workers of SWA is, How are you?

Morgan Dollar: Travis man I have suffered a collapsed right lung and bruised ribs. Due to the concern of so many I have arranged the doctors to release my x-ray to the SWA so the fans will know this is a legit ordeal I am dealing with.

Travis Gaines: Would you explain to the fans what happen?

Morgan Dollar: What happen? You tell me. You know Travis someone or something is going to have to do something with Trucker. Trucker is man, well, Trucker is Trucker. He don't care about nothing. He does what he does to keep the gold. My concern is when is this going to stop? SWA signed the contract with him and now I hear they are trying to figure out a way to void the contract. Which you know Travis, that would be cool with me, and the other Refs I'm sure. All crap broke out after his match. I was talking to the senior ref "Cockroach", I turned around and the next thing I know is I see lights flashing. It got dark and I seen lights flashing it got dark again. This went on for a few minutes. I felt like I was moving man. Like I was in a vehicle. I could hear a roaring sound. And then I heard my wife Annette say, its ok baby we are almost there. Now Travis I was freaking man! You know you hear about the light at the end of the tunnel. Well when I opened my eyes it wasn't a light at the end of the tunnel everyone talks about in here after life. It was the emergency sign at the ER I was gasping for breath man. It was like having your head under water and trying to breath.

Travis Gaines: What happen then Morgan?

Morgan Dollar: They got a stretcher out to the car. They ask my wife what had happen. I remember that. And I just looked at her. I couldn't talk. The ER folks backed off and started putting masks on. Later I found out that the reason they all backed off from me was because of the powder that had been thrown on me in a prior match before the main event. They didn't know what it was. My wife explain to them what kind of Ref I was, but they didn't buy it. They actually ran a test on the powder that was on me while other Doctors was working on my breathing.

Travis Gaines: What did they find out about the powder?

Morgan Dollar: I didn't find out until this morning what it was. After lab result came in and the doctor came by to check on me. He told me the powder was TALC powder. They insisted on flushing my eyes and ears out after they got my lungs working correctly.

Travis Gaines: So the powder wasn't a threat to the eye?

Morgan Dollar: NO absolutely not. My vision is ok.

Travis Gaines: Back to the lung problem Morgan. Tell us about the lungs, that's the main concern here.

Morgan Dollar: Well Travis they first started talking about putting a chest tube in. They had oxygen on stomp man. They called a specialist from another floor down to the ER and that's when things changed. The specialist looked at the x-rays and decided to keep me over night. And see if it would inflate on its own. They "booked me" and drugged me. About 7:30 this morning I awoke to all these doctors around me. The powder deal showed up on one of the x-rays and that had them confused as all get out.

Travis Gaines: And then what?

Morgan Dollar: I was breathing! Not good but better. They told me I had received what looked like a strong blow to the rib cage right in the center of my chest and had a few bruised ribs. My lung had inflated on its own (along with percocet). My wife explained to them that that was indeed what had happened. The stupid Police dept. showed up. They explained to me that the hospital had called them. I ask why? Due to the severity of the injury the hospital by law, contacted them. They ask me if I wanted to press charges and I refused.

Travis Gaines: Why did you refuse? That would have been the ticket out of here for the Trucker!

Morgan Dollar: Yes it would Travis. I agree with you. But somebody is going to stop him. And by the power of God I want to be there to see it. I don't want him locked up in some cell with Bubba! I want him to be a free man. Because his wild reign is about to come to a end. I don't know when or where or how many it will take. But rest assure. Its going to happen! Or SWA will go busted. This hospital bill will not be cheap. Don't get me wrong Travis, I got some of the best insurance a man can have. But the insurance company is going to look for the culprit that done this to me and try to get reimbursed.

Travis Gaines: Well Morgan, Long term, when can you get back to normal? Back to the squared circle?

Morgan Dollar: Well Travis brotha, They claim with in a few days I will be back to 90-95% normal. The bruised ribs will be sore for a few weeks. They haven't said anything to me yet about Ref'n. I go back to the Doctor Tuesday for a follow up. I will be sure to let you know then.

Travis Gaines: Morgan before we started this one on one talk. You told me you had something to say to the fans. The only way you would conduct this interview with me. Now's your time. Say what's on your mind.

Morgan Dollar: Travis this is hard to say. But here goes. You know we (the refs) get fussed at and cussed at all the time. But the fans is what drives each and everyone of us. People all the time talking about story lines in Pro-Wrestling and yes I agree they are there. But this is life man. This is the real deal for me. Will I get back in the ring? Man, Travis I will. I will try. Right now I am really confused. I'm 38 years old. I shouldn't be going through this. You know Travis, I have a L-5 S-1 disk problem even before this happened. I have a lovely wife that has been there for me for over 10 years. I am a human being Travis. I got a heart as big as Texas for the fans. But Right now Travis I just don't know. I love the fans. Even the ones that boo me. They drive me to try to better my position with-in SWA. So to all the fans of SWA and the other promotions I have worked for. I love you all! The workers, so many are like brothers to me. Some are like the in-laws you love to hate. You know what I mean? I have been in this business quite a few years. Worked gigs all over the East Coast and mid West. And never have I had something of this magnitude happen to me. I hope to see you all this weekend in Pfafftown. I will try my best to be there. Will I work? Or not? I don't know. It depends on the doctors and my wife. I love you all! Take care!!

Travis Gaines: Wait Morgan I need to ask you one more thing. You just mentioned the Mid-West. What about the match with Wild Shane West?

Morgan Dollar: Travis brother that was one of the HARDEST things I have ever done. Shane-o (Wild Shane West, I call him Shane-o) is one of the closest brothers I have in this sport. It is no secret we have traveled many a miles together. We have rode horses on his farm with his family. I warned him when he tagged up with Trucker he was making a mistake. He finally figure it out. I had along talk with him two days before the show. Riding horses on his farm. He told me to call it fair, call it straight down the middle. I did as far as I know. I told him I wanted to withdraw from that match. And he insisted that he wanted me there. He told me, Morgan I got a plan. I ask him if it was legal. He assured me to not worry about all the technical stuff. And just call the match the way I saw it. I did and I for one did not like the end result. But I had to do what I had to do. I did a 3 count and Shadow was on top of him for the pin. I raised Shadows hand. What would you have done? Shadow was on top! I hated it man. Shane-o called my wife to check on me. Said he would talk to me the first of the week. I hope me and Shane-o can continue to be as close as we where before this match took place. Only Time will Tell. Take care Travis. And to the fans of SWA I will always remember you all as being the best fans a man could Ref for. Take care and be well.

Travis Gaines: Well folks there it is! Referee Morgan Dollar is at home relaxing and sleeping. His wife told me that she had really appreciated all the phone calls and emails Morgan has received. Morgan has talked to a few of his fellow workers. but has not read any of the emails as of yet. He is still weak from the medication. But his wife told me outside there home that she is really worried about him and his future in this business. He told her he didn't know if the fans cared ether way about him. And if it was even worth it. He told her Trucker has really scared him. He is definitely at a low right now. And I could tell that by the way he spoke. If any of the fans of SWA would like to send him a email. PLEASE do so. I think he could use it right now. Please send all emails to pr@swanc.net with the subject line "get well Morgan" and I will forward them to him. The SWA and its employees wish Referee Morgan Dollar all the best and he knows SWA will always be there for him and his wife.
